When we think of exercise, we think of it as a trip to the gym or going for a run but when include the word holistic at the front, everything changes. Holistic exercise incorporates exercise of the body and mind. When you experience holistic exercise, you will discover the far reaching benefits. Routine is key

You wake up in the morning, jump out of bed and go and make yourself a tea or coffee. Without fail, every day. This is a routine you may have set up many years ago and it is simply intuitive. The same applies to exercise. You know it's good for you. You know you need to do it. So why can't we create a routine for something so important for your mental and physical health?
So, set a daily routine for yourself in relation to exercise. Before you have your morning coffee or tea, go for a quick walk or a run. Get moving. And if you make sleep a major priority, you will have some spring in your step. Some great things to do to set your routine:
  • Exercise first thing in the morning - no one to bother you.
  • Find an accountability buddy
  • Make your heart rate work hard
  • Change the type of exercise
  • include slow movement activites like yoga or pilates at the end of the day to wind down.
  • Learn something new every day. Every day!
  • Reward yourself for doing it.
