Life is so busy and so many of us don't stop and take the time to let our mind stop. In this short video, I talk about the book and how mindfulness played a big part in finding myself again and helped to eliminate the noise in my head that I never let rest.
Breathing
When we are born, we breathe all the way to our last breath when we die. It is the one constant in our lives. It has a way of controlling all we do. When we exercise, we breath fast, when we are resting, our breath is slow. Even when we panic, our breathing becomes elevated. So you can see, breathing controls so much of what we do.
The best part about knowing this; if you have an understanding of how you can control your breathing, you can calm yourself down in moments of panic or stress. It will be a game changer.
Below are some breathing exerices you can use at any time. Short or long, they will help you through nasty situations but also aid in improving your quality of living. Trust me, I was there and these helped me imensely.
- Counting breath for a minute.
- Chest/belly breathing
- 7/11 breathing
